We are hoping as many of you as possible can join us on 11th September to celebrate the 2021 Junior season. There are opportunities for everyone to get involved. Please find below the itinerary for the day:
10.30am-12.30pm Kwik Cricket Tournament - You can enter teams of six into this competition but the must include at least two females and one U10 (a female U10 counts towards your female quota). If you haven’t played Kwik Cricket before, its softball cricket and very easy for anyone who can hold a bat and bowl underarm to play, plus great fun. To enter a team send a email to cricketchippenham@gmail.com and please include your team name.
12.30pm-1.15pm 2021 Junior Awards - The Junior Team Managers will provide. a brief overview the seasons and the annual awards will be made for each team. A medal will also be presented to all juniors who represented Chippenham CC in a competitive match this summer.
1.30pm-2.45pm Ladies and Girls Softball Match - One of the highlights of this summer has been the successful launch of our Girls and Ladies section. This will be a chance for them to show off their skills. If you haven’t attended our Ladies and Girls sessions but fancy playing in the game then that’s fine, just let us know by reply you want to take part by emailing us at cricketchippenham@gmail.com
3pm-6pm The Annual Juniors and Parents match - A Junior team will be selected from our U15 and U13 squad and we are looking for volunteers from parents who fancy having a go to take them on. If your child isn’t in the U15 or U13 squads you can still be in the parents team, as long as you have a child training at Chippenham on a Monday you qualify. So please let us know by emailing cricketchippenham@gmail.com if you are up for playing in the game.
In addition to the above there will be various cricket challenges going all day for all ages and abilities and a barbecue and refreshments will also be available. You are of course very welcome to bring your own picnics as well.
