Help needed at ground Sat 5th April

With the season fast approaching this Saturday (5th April) is a very important day at the cricket ground, where we need as many people as possible to help to complete the final preparations. We will be there from 9.30am-4pm and there will be jobs for all skill levels and ages. Even if you can only come for an hour or two then it will make a difference, so please do come along and family and friends are welcome to help as well!

There will be refreshments during the day including bacon rolls at lunchtime. We also have a free bucket hat for the first 20 people who turn up!

If you have any of the following it would also be helpful if you can bring them with you:

Step ladders 

Wheelbarrow

Whacker Plate for compacting stone (if you have one of these we can use please let Darren or Tom D know before Saturday).

Here is a list of some of the jobs we need doing:

Clean the gutters out on the covers frames and put the covers back on

Clean out main shed 

Clear and clean pavilion

Put the sights screens back together 

Move / rebuild grass cuttings bunker 

Clean out gutters on pavilion 

Fill holes in main entrance 

Rake- Re seed bald patches on outfield 

Rake and level and re seed where the bowls club hedge was

Build new roll on net

Stock take of cricket training equipment

Scoreboard checked and tidied

Collect tree cuttings up and wheelbarrow ready to burn.

There really are jobs for everyone, so very much hope to see you Saturday.
