County call up for three Chippenham seniors - Sully stars on debut

On 6th May we had yet another county representative at the club. Tony Sully played his first game for Cambridgeshire, as part of the Combined Cambs/Hunts Over 70s side which was entering the Seevent National Over Seventies Championship for the first time. Captained by fellow Chippenham club member Ashley Brown the Over 70s were narrowly beaten by a strong Bedfordshire XI that included players who had international experience playing for the England Over 60s team. Tony’s baptism of fire in county cricket was marked by a strong performance: opening the bowling he took 3 wickets for just 33 runs. On Thursday 13th May, Tony and Ashley will be joined by Alan Wright, giving Chippenham three representatives in the fixture against Norfolk.
